The Man
Zion's Story
Zion began his journey in political activism at just 15 years old, serving as a representative in the Hackney Youth Parliament and subsequently the UK Youth Parliament. Driven by a passion for social change, he championed campaigns tackling youth crime and advocating for expanded opportunities for young people. A defining moment of his early political career came in 2008 when he was selected as one of seven delegates sent to the United States to film a documentary comparing UK and US political systems—a trip highlighted by a personal meeting with Barack Obama on the eve of his historic election as the nation's first African-American president. In the years since, Zion has served as a key contributor to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Children in Care and Care Leavers. Through political advocacy, grassroots activism, and award-winning community initiatives, he has made a profound and lasting impact on the lives of young people across the nation.
